and in time, you'll be fine.

What to do when you've got a night at home alone?

Whip out some old records, start spinnin' the music*, and dance** around the house cleaning up messes that are likely to return within a day's time.

And then watch Project Runway re-runs while convincing yourself you're not lazy and waiting for your favorite person to get home.

*Beachwood Sparks - The Sun Surrounds Me & By Your Side (one of "our songs")
**Sorry, no dancing pictures. I know you're disappointed.

  1. I have to deal with nights like that all the time, since my husband has up and decided to become pretty much a truck driver. And now, with no cable...I'm sad.

  2. You totally could've eaten some pork with us tonight. Why pork? You ask. We might not have food the rest of the week, so I wanted to eat something today that would stick around for a little while. Ha ha.

  5. Angela,
I am so glad that you commented and of course I remember you. I actually found your blog a while ago through Senora Graf's blog and it has been one that I visit freqently (yours and your friend that sews and writes so well!) because you take such great pictures and you have a letter press (and your own company!) which I think is so cool. I was worried you'd think I was creepy for checking your blog now and again, but I guess we can all agree it's pretty flattering. :) One more thing, remember when you were voted "dream date" at Poston? I request a blog post about that- including a scanned photo from the yearbook.

  7. When I am waiting for my hubs to show up, I somehow always get stuck watching project runway. It doesn't matter if I've seen that episode 3 times already!

  9. i'm still so jealous of your table, and to think... we were looking at the exact same time and you snagged those up from underneath me.
i also love your jeans, my skinny jeans just don't get the right effect, they are always just a tad to short to gather at my shoe. hmmmmn. your tall though aren't you? where do you get them? can i copy?

  11. hi.

    i'm so glad you commented.

i feel like we have a lot in common already and i've only read your profile on the side of your page and your first blog post! only, i feel like i belonged in the 40s! but as far as being home alone...i would do exactly the same thing as you. only...i don't have a record player or any records. i do however, have a vintage, 1940s radio that ironically only plays oldies...

  13. haven't actually ever been inside postino...thought it was only wine. have you tried radio milano?? it's divine as well. LGO will always be my favorite tho. have you gotten gelato next door? i'm sure you have...we're good friends with moreno and now borris. moreno is going to cook for us as soon as he gets back from italy. boyd, my babe, does the audio/video work for all four places. well five, if you include the grocery store. we've never met anyone that loves it as much as we do. i'm thinking we have a new found friendship! we should go together sometime!
