now the colors have bled to grey.

We drove to Tucson on Saturday to see dear Andrew Bird master the violin and whistle the night away (so amazing!). Somehow I convinced Clint to arrive a few hours early so we could visit the great antique stores. During our trip, I learned that my husband thinks I collect "junk." He tried to take that back, but the truth had already come out of his mouth. I was only a little bit offended, because I know that I actually just collect wonderful things.

Here's a few things I found:

01. a bag full of wood type/ letterpress blocks

02. a milk-glass vase (I love how those fresh tulips look in it)

03. and my personal favorite... a new addition to our family: Archibald (or Archie, if you will). Archie is silkscreened folk art from the 1950's and he was so peculiar I couldn't resist. Look at that outfit! Those shoes! His stance! The floor! I love it.

  4. Archie is terrific. Andrew Bird was spectacular. I feel rude for not going to talk to you and Clint when we first arrived. I figured I would see you two again later on and that I would find our seats first. I apologize.

  9. i think i have a totally platonic girl-crush on you. i love your finds. personally, i have the first two of the three (only my lp blocks are of me and hub's name not yours, that would be creepy)

i would love to see how fabulous your house is. maybe get my hub to acquiesce to a more folksy style...

  11. My husband also thinks I collect too many "trinkets", though he did enjoy an antique store run in Maine when we discovered some things he loved — vintage maps and newspapers. It was fun to see him get all into shopping.

  18. Guys just don't get it. Yet they always have a smile when they come home to the place filled with junk. I think we understand it a little more. (Hugs)indigo
