counted up our feelings.

In five more days, it will have been three months since I've had sugar/sweets. That's a huge accomplishment for me. It feels so good that I'm considering staying sugar-free for quite a while longer.

Only the disciplined are free.
Thanks for teaching me that, Steve Chandler.

  2. That is crazy and amazing. Every so often when I've overdone it on the sweets I think of you and say to myself, "I think that girl may be on to something." But alas, I am weak and can't quite come up with the willpower to give up the sugarcrack.

  5. Wow, I'm impressed. I've tried to cut out refined sugar but relapse. I couldn't give up the natural sugars of fruits though.

  7. congratulations!

i have cut back my sweets intake to once a week. it's been great for my complexion and my immune system. we had blueberry muffins sweetened with agave nectar this am. they were yummy.

has it been hard for you? the only thing that is hard for me is bedtime without hot chocolate. its hard to wind down with out it.

  8. anna: you're right, i sort of am. you do what you gotta do.

kate: i've lost 10 pounds! (though, you probably can't tell by looking at me). and it took over two months for that to start happening. i also haven't exercised much, so i guess that's great for just making a slight diet change. it's motivated me to continue for sure.

pixie: unfortunately i do not yet have the willpower to give up natural sugars either. not sure i ever will try that.

rachel: it's been hard for me... easier as time has passed, but it's still sometimes hard when i'm presented with sweets atleast once a day! my sugar free fudgsicles make it all okay though.
