i have a perfect body, 'cause my eyelashes catch my sweat.*

I'm trying really hard not to be a bad sport about summer. But today, shopping in the 114° weather, I decided to let myself pout for a little bit.

Please accept my apologies if I have a permanent scowl on my face for the next few months. I just wasn't meant to live in heat like this.

  1. Sigh. I feel grumpy about the heat too.
Especially when I'm carting a little babe around.

  2. My best friend lives in Vermont and she feels the same way about the 6 months of winter! She would love to bask in our warm weather, at least it doesn't last as long and it doesn't take 30 minutes to put on a swim suit!! hehe! It is HOT!!!

  3. Just become a house rat like me and then you don't have to deal with the heat.

  4. Can't remember how I found your blog a few days ago, but have enjoyed reading it so far :)

I would TOTALLY trade weather with you - we're in WI and I am a summer girl who only gets about 3 months of semi-warm weather...puhleese send some of that heat my way...it got to 80 today and I thought it wasn't warm enough ;)

I feel for you though...I have the same sentiment when it's 20 below zero here and we haven't seen sun for days...lots of AC and cool drinks for you!

  5. Hmm, looks like people agree that our blazing summers are more than made up for the rest of the year. Angela, it's seriously not even that hot. And who cares if you sweat a little bit? You should be so happy that we can break a sweat without exercising. :)

  6. usually when I have been shopping in 114degree weather, I am sweaty, my makeup is smudged, I am a little red in the face, my hair is sticking to my forehead... hizzah for air conditioning!

  7. you can make a scowl look like lovely. It's hot here too. My daughter said she would play outside again when it's cold. Umm, she may have to wait awhile.

  9. We can trade if you want. I love the heat and despise the cold. Wish we were there now.

  10. I have happy memories of stepping outside in Lake Havasu and feeling my back start to sweat. Drive with the windows down, and touch the hot steering wheel. Ahhh...Right. Everyone sees it differently. Here it feels like you stepped out the door into a sauna, sticky, hard to breathe.
I wish we had a pool! And thank goodness for eyelashes, huh?

  15. Wow. I thought we had it bad being in the mid 80's and 90's. I'm pretty sure I would cry and melt into a puddle at 114. Ouch. But at least you still look cute. I'd be all flushed and icky-sticky looking. :s

  17. My mother-in-law was telling me how she was burned by her steering wheel while trying to run errands last week.

I can't believe it's that hot in AZ! We might hit 100 today here in UT.
