i'll make a home with you.

Due to a recent and unexplained desire to possess an awesome old quilt or two, I've been on the search. Clint kept telling me not to buy one at the antique store because his mom had a few tucked away in a closet. It was true, and she graciously let us take this beauty home.

I love it - the colors, patterns, history and how it's worn in certain places. It's just right, and for now its new home is at the end of our bed.

  1. Oh, I wish my blanket was as pretty. I have a ratty, old, badly sewn blanket from when my mom when through her "sewing" phase. It didn't last long, the blanket was the only product and she gave up. The stitching is all crooked, the pieces or lopsided and the colors are HORRID but it's backed with the softest flannel and has been with me since 1985. I've moved out and moved on approx 6 times since college and it's been every step of the way. It may be ugly (sorry mom) but I know that where ever it is, it's always home.

  4. You probably should've told me about this so I could come see it in real life. It's so lovely! I decided I want to make Clara a quilt for her bed... so it might be several years before she has a quilt on her bed. :)
