standing on the shore.

"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." -Martin Luther King, Jr.

Today I've been thinking a lot about love, how it comes from so many places and manifests itself in so many ways. I heard something last week that stuck with me: being in the present moment IS love. I want to feel that every single day. Love, and peace within.

Speaking of peace and being present, I think it's time I get back to my yoga. And my client Spiritual Gangster just released an awesome new commercial that might convince you too.

  1. i like that way of thinking about living in the present moment (something i have to work on everyday!)

love, peace, contentment... it's all intertwined.

  2. love the Martin Luther King quote, very very true:)

  3. i like that quote, are your words.

    yoga sounds nice.

  4. and your words, not are your words. :)

  5. "Being in the present moment IS love."

    from whence did that spring?

  6. it was something along those lines that i heard at my NAWBO business luncheon when martha beck spoke.

  7. I love love too.

I love the print on your shirt (or dress?).

I love you and your uplifting blog.

  8. That commercial is rad. It makes me think I'd be cool if I did yoga.

I'm kind of getting a headache trying to figure out this "tape" on your picture.

  9. i love this post, angela. one of the things i am learning (slowly, painfully) is how much we can accomplish with love, especially in our relationships with others.

i think often about this scripture: Luke 7:47
Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much.

    thank you for the reminder.

  10. i have been blogstalking you for like three years.

it feels nice to finally emerge from the shadows.

  11. this is happy. and i really like it. thanks for your inspiration, and i love our dress. you have the cutest style.
ps, thanks for the info on what you illistrator on a mac?

  12. This is so funny, but I just realized that I commented on this post when I was signed in as my sister (Davis and Asialene). I'm bored and I came to look at your blog because I can never get enough of your photos. Anyway, I was looking to see if I commented on this post because I love the photo and noticed that my sister commented, only it wasn't her it was me! Is that funny to you? You are probably used to random people commenting, though, so maybe you didn't even think twice about it.
