in a matter of time.

This incredible and very old family album was recently given to my mom and dad by a distant relative. I find it completely amazing to see all these photos of my ancestors... plus the quality of the photos is perfect and there are pretty letterpress details. It makes me want to be better about preserving my own life for posterity with journals and photos. (Is anyone else paranoid that the Internet is going to come crashing down and and erase everything that lives online?)

I'm a little buried with work and other things right now, but will hopefully be blogging more soon. Hooray for an upcoming 3-day weekend.

  6. I have that same fear! Which is why I've started printing and putting together physical journals of all my online stuff (dating back to 2001, yikes!) But I recently discovered that Blurb.com has a setting that can upload all your posts from a blog/online journal and all you have to do is format it! I just ordered one and plan on blogging about it once I get it in the mail.

  8. YES!!!
No one takes photographs anymore, there all on Facebook now. Which will be gone when we're old.... No one I know keeps a diary (I try)
    And I'm happy to say I don't own a digital camera :D

  9. That is amazing! I adore old photographs. Sometimes I almost buy them but then realize that's kind of weird.

I always worry I won't have anything cool like that to pass down to future generations. Putting together a photo album is definitely on the list but sadly at the very bottom.

    Congrats on your exciting nomination!!!

  14. yes I think photo albums are some of the most priceless & beautiful things around. They would be the first things I would grab if there were a fire.
