and she could hear the highway breathing.

A friend gave us tickets to see Jerry Seinfeld on Saturday (yes, it was hilarious) and we spent the evening in downtown Phoenix. We ended up at The Duce for dinner, which is a pretty fun place. It's a restaurant, vintage shop, old-fashioned soda fountain, produce market, old school gym and more, all in a restored 1920's brick warehouse.

There is a serious lack of places like this around here, so it was a breath of fresh air. I'm sure we'll be back.

  3. That is AWESOME. House hunting over the past month just made me more depressed about the lack of interesting houses and buildings around here. The one house with any charm had a horrible A/C and stairs that probably would have spelled bad things for Jones when he starts crawling. So sad.

  19. You have to try the sliders (barbecue and meatball are best) and the homemade chips. The Duce is my favorite place in all of Phoenix!! I took a coworker there for lunch once and it was so laid-back (and practically vacant) that he even got up and hula hooped with me and a total stranger came over to hoop with us, too. It's a magical place! :)
