and i think to myself: what a wonderful world.

Aside from a box full of vintage ornaments, we don't really have many Christmas decorations. Last year we didn't even get around to decorating a Christmas tree, which is pretty tragic considering it's the best holiday ever. (In our defense, it was a busy month with our trip to Pittsburgh).

This year I'm hoping to be much more festive. First up: compiling the best Christmas music playlist. And then making an advent calendar with a list of things to do each day during December.

p.s. Local friends, you should come to the Frances/Smeeks 2010 Crafeteria this Friday.

  3. Yes, please share your playlist! I have had the worst time finding GREAT holiday music. I can find good but nothing unique. I'm sure you will compile a smashing playlist.

  4. Your advent calendar sounds like such a great idea!! I'd love to see photos of that! I don't have too many Christmas decorations... what does make me laugh are the decorations that my parents have on their tree at home : they have all of the ornaments that my brothers and I made in elementary school (20+ years ago - crazy!). My cardboard cone santa with cotton ball buttons always tops the tree. All of those crazy ornaments make for the funniest and least coordinated tree I've ever seen, but it's pretty darn lovable!

and, i feel the motivation to decorate for christmas less and less every year. we didn't even get our tree out last year. maybe i just need to get my music on to get in the spirit.

  14. i love the idea that you didn't decorate last year. it sounds a little liberating. haha. or it's being festive because you have time to and not out of obligation.

p.s. as always your photos are a dream.
