sunshine lady came through my door.

I'll be the first to admit that we really didn't need another couch in our house. But when I came across this pretty little thing — very old but in great shape, with comfortable down cushions, in the perfect shade of mustard yellow — was I really supposed to resist?

I laid on it for awhile today, with my shoes on — because you're allowed to do that with a couch that only cost $50. Definitely this week's favorite find, and I think it's going to look just right in our bedroom.

Happy weekend. We're going to the temple tonight (one of my favorite places in the world), and tomorrow we'll be spending the day exploring different neighborhoods we'd like to live in someday.

  6. sigh.

    i miss mesa's thrifting. that couch would cost at least $300 here in pdx due to all the greedy hipsters that know they'll get out of someone {like me.}

    love it. lucky you!

  19. that couch is beautiful. fantastic find for only $50.

    and those state fair photos are awesome. we affectionately call our city fair—which is officially called "city of fun"—"city of scum". i want to go on that giant slide with emma. and i want to keep going back and back to look at those photos. you could design a whole playroom around those pictures. what if i did? would you let me?
