so pale and sincere.

Today was grey and rainy — my favorite kind of day. I wore a comfy sweater, my hair in a bun, and cozy slippers around the house. Clint has been really sick for the past few days. It's sad. I'm refusing to catch it (I will not be sick for my birthday and Christmas) so I've been staying far away and loading up on vitamin C. I hope he gets better soon because sleeping on the couch is getting really lonely.

How adorable are those tiny felted acorns? They came in the mail for me along with a handmade gift I ordered for my sister. Etsy is the best. So is wrapping up presents and sending off a huge stack of packages (minus the whole post office part).

p.s. a good song for a rainy day

  2. Think happy thoughts! I always tell myself I'm not getting sick and then I manage not to. Both my kids and Dillon were really sick and I still haven't caught it. Pretty happy about that, considering all the singing I've had to do lately.

    Those acorns are darling!

  3. If you love grey and rainy you belong here in Oregon. That's our winter forecast for the next 4 months. I'm not sick of it yet though. Hope Clint feels better soon.

Also, thanks for the tree recommendation! Home Depot was awesome. We love the tree and a 7 footer cost us all of $25. Loooove that.

  5. Acorns and I kind of have a thing going. Seeing as my ornament collection boasts of about 20+ of them I think I may need to add some felted ones to the mix. Variety, you know.

You must go buy Echinacea, it works wonders for fighting off colds and sickness.

  9. our post office experience got fuh real interesting when there was a bomb threat. and by "bomb threat" I mean a lady accidentally forgot a package by the window, and wasn't paying attention while the postal service worker asked repeatedly whose package it was until he started to evacuate the building. it was pretty entertaining.

a candy cane toast to your health!

  24. Owen is sick. His first time. It is very sad. He got it from me, even though I made a serious effort to avoid contact with him. Maybe he and Clint can cough and sniffle together.
