songs for christmas.

While I don't discriminate too much when it comes to holiday music, sometimes you can only take so much of hearing the same songs and the same versions over and over. So here's my playlist of some favorite, different Christmas tunes— including classic covers to original compositions, old standards to new releases, favorite bands to... Cyndi Lauper?

Happy Holidays.

UPDATE: Listen to the songs online here (songs 1-20) and here (21-40).

  26. I know that last names were often indicative of a family's occupation (ie. Thatcher = roof thatcher, Cooper = barrel maker, Shoemaker = self-explanatory, Fisher = also self-explanatory, etc.). I don't know who Ron Sexsmith is, but I wonder about his ancestors' occupation.

Anyway, good choice of tunes for the season.

  42. So apparently if you let a playlist run to the end it will pull up another one to start playing. The Divinyl's "I Touch Myself" was playing and I was like, "What on earth...weird Christmas selection..."

Turns out the playlist they decided to bring up next was very rudely titled and designed to encourage..uhh..adult time. It was special.
