c'mon miracle.

That's my new niece, Hazel Joy.

Over the weekend I was able to hold two brand new babies for awhile - Hazel, and our friends' little Eliza. (I really love both of those names.) Babies are such a miracle. I've always loved them, but lately it's almost indescribable how they make me feel. I think when I finally get my own, my heart might explode with love.

p.s. My amazing friend Christy and her husband Chris are hoping to adopt. Please share their profile and spread the word.

  8. I love both of those names to death! Dillon put the kibosh on Eliza, though. I still hope I can convince him to change his mind later on.

And I can't quite communicate in words the feeling you have when holding your own child for the first time. I'm getting slightly misty just thinking about it.

You're going to make a fabulous mother, Angela.

  20. what a pretty baby with a pretty name. i always think how it's crazy that humans can even have babies since x, y, and z all have to be in place for it to happen (and so much more!) and adoption is another miracle entirely. good luck to your friends.

  26. aw, i miss that cute little newborn baby. i don't think i even kissed her, for fear of spreading my germs, the whole time i was there.

and your cute friend christy. i met her during a rainy/snowy race here in utah. i was struck with how sweet she was from that one meeting. i wish her and her husband the best!
