happenstance has changed my plans.

The problem with packing is that you find things you forgot you had, like this fabric purchased at Reform School on a trip to LA a couple years ago. And then instead of doing what you should be, you take a break to sew a pillow cover. Because even if you still haven't decided which sofa to buy, you can never have too many pillows... right?

Our new walls are being painted today and tomorrow, and then next week we're replacing the kitchen flooring and refinishing all the wood floors. Then it's time to move in! It should come as no surprise that I'm feeling unprepared.

  11. I can't wait to see the finished product. It'll probably be a lot different from when we last walked through. I was thinking, if you don't go with my bowling lane idea for that Arizona room, may I suggest you make it an Arizona themed Arizona room. Some small potted cacti, Arizona landscape prints, a flag, cigar-store indian, and if you can find a statue of a mule. Also, a little area where Clint and I can pan for gold.

  13. pretty, happy, yellow fabric. the best part about moving is going through all your stuff and editing what you don't need anymore.

I'm in the midst of packing as well, and I spent my day yesterday going through old photos and cards.
On the bright side, I found a $10 bill in a birthday card from last year!

  20. you are a girl after my own heart! cleaning and packing easily take days longer after unearthing all sorts of treasures that take my attention away.
i think it's needed though. otherwise those heavy tasks would break our spirits. haha. or at least that's how i justify it to myself.

  22. I love your honesty! You really crack me up. But I can completely relate - I always find myself getting sidetracked. If only I was making beautiful pillows instead of spending countless hours on the internet or something :)
