local love: urban picnic.

Yesterday we met up for lunch at Urban Picnic, a new little restaurant on Main Street in downtown Mesa. Beth told me about it (thank you!), and I knew I needed to go. Healthy organic food, white and wood interior, concrete floors, thoughtful design details... it's my kind of place. And the food was amazing! I had the grilled veggie and goat cheese sandwich with a baby green salad. This is exactly the type of place Mesa needs around. We will definitely be back, over and over. Next time I think we'll try breakfast.

After lunch I walked over to the Good Store Thrift, where I found a darling vintage dress and some mid-century candle holders. In case you couldn't tell, I'm so happy about our new neighborhood. We haven't even moved in to our house yet, but Clint and I are already on a quest to convince all our friends to join us downtown.

  1. We might have to in a few years. Poor Dillon, he is so sad about losing Clint. He says, "Clint is my only friend in the ward." :(

  10. I'm bummed that you didn't live downtown while I was in that neighborhood. I would've made you go running with me (psh.. who am kidding.) or go for a late night snack (yep.. that's more like it.)

Looks like a great place! I look forward to visiting there when I ever I make it back to there.
