birds of the summer.

The second part of my Utah trip was spent in downtown Salt Lake with some beautiful women: Abby, Kate, Carla, Kera, and Shalynna. It was the first time meeting a handful of them in real life, but soon enough they all felt like old friends. I'm already missing our late-night conversations and rounds of laughter (I can still hear Kera's awesome laugh in my head).

Then there was a day to wander around the city by myself. I walked for miles, hung out at Temple Square, took a nap in a park, ate at the Beehive Tea Room, and learned that the easiest way for me to fall in love with a place is to explore it on foot with a camera in hand.

  20. I was secretly watching you take photos to see what your special trick is to getting such amazing pictures, but you made it look so easy! Then wa-la you have a beautiful blog post to show for it. I really love the black and white photo of us sitting against the wall.

I know we all gave you a hard time for not coming home with us for the day and I still feel a little bit sad thinking of you all alone in SLC, but it sounds and looks like you had a LOVELY (Kera's funny) time. I'm so glad you came up from AZ. It was so great catching up. I already miss all of you girls (I'm so needy)!
