upward over the mountain.

The first part of my trip was spent with my sister Rachel and her darling family. Utah in June is amazing; I was in constant awe at the picturesque views and perfect weather. We enjoyed a lot of time outdoors - parks, canyons, rivers, waterfalls, et cetera.

Things I don't want to forget: fresh-picked spinach leaves the size of my head and amazing morning smoothies, my 4-year-old nephew Lucas who didn't want to leave my side for one second and gave me endless hugs, joining Rachel for her writers group and reading the first part of her novel, and seeing my brothers Daniel and Steven with smiles on their faces.

I love those little brothers and I love seeing them so happy. Steven looks awesome in that picture of the three of you. Mom and Dad made some pretty cute kids. ;)

  9. Utah is beautiful during the summer, but very ugly in the winter (in my opinion). I do love the green starting to peek through on the mountains!

I told David about Avatar and the hair and the ignition. He thought it was hilarious.
