meet me by the water.

It's hard not to be impatient when it comes to this old house. The list of things to do keeps growing. Instead of going into all the details, here's a good example: we're still sleeping on a mattress on the floor. So to stay sane while we wait a little and slowly do things the right way, I focus on little things I love. Like that old peephole on the front door and corner windows in the bathrooms.

We should probably spend our weekend cleaning all the dirty windows (the recent dust storm really did a number on this place). But watching Harry Potter and celebrating the birth of my favorite person sounds a lot more fun. Happy Friday!

  4. beautiful windows!

i know, it's hard to wait. when we first moved into our house in st george, we rushed things, and spent way to much, went over budget. we're still paying for it. :/

    happy weekend lady!

  7. I almost always find that I work so hard to move forward (and not sleep on the mattress on the floor)--and then when I get there, I miss sleeping on the floor. Funny how those things work out. And Harry Potter was great!!

  15. Agreed. The dust can always wait, but people, especially Harry Potter, cannot!

  20. I'm still sleeping on my floor too. I went to Switzerland for year and when I came back, no bed.

But I love those windows and clasps! I imagine them being kinda cool to the touch in the morning when you open them (unless you sleep with your windows open... I know I do).

    Love the shots.
    Love the light.
Your blog is rad rad rad.
