caught in the middle.

I'm just over 20 weeks pregnant, which means I'm officially past the halfway mark. My belly is getting round and so is my face. It's definitely a strange, humbling experience to see and feel your body change so much. But few things are better than thinking about having a little baby in my arms to show for it.

Happy Halloween!
Clint recorded a cover of the classic Monster Mash song, which you can listen to here... I'm still laughing.

  1. This is probably the wrong thing to say, because I never know how to take it when people say "you're so big", but in comparison to me (and me alone) you are so little. Such a gorgeous neat little bump. I'm only 19 and popped two weeks ago, hoping it will slow down now though cause I'm not that big myself. Don't really want a 10 pounder!! Such an exciting time!

  2. bettina - really?! i feel like it's big compared to others. i've gained a lot of weight already but i'm carrying it ALL OVER, not just the bump :)

  3. isn't it absurd to look in the mirror and almost feel like you don't recognize yourself? I remember doing a double take when I saw my big pregnant shadow for the first time. enjoy the next 20 weeks :)

  4. You have that beautiful pregnancy "glow" :) So so so so happy for you! (Even though I've neglected to comment on your other posts... I'm usually finding myself one-handed these days. Soon you'll know the feeling! So exciting!) You look wonderful and happy and I'm so glad.

  8. You have a cute lil bump and are radiant. I think women are most beautiful when pregnant- although I can attest for certainly not feeling that way myself during pregnancy.

  12. Angela, you look so beautiful. And I don't think you look big at all. But I understand where you're coming from -- all the body changes can be discouraging and I'm always comparing my belly to others (I still do, even this late in the game). But you're a tiny thing, so you may very well be all baby/belly and carry straight out in the front like me. And don't forget, nursing burns a ton of calories!

  13. What?! You are tiny!! I think you look great. Don't sweat the extra pounds lady. Knowing you, I'm sure you're still eating healthy anyhow.

Oh, and hip hip for hitting the middle mark. Spring will be here before you know it.
