left waiting outside your door.

This vintage croquet set has found a new home on our front porch. I love its classic, colorful design. If you come over, you just might be challenged to a croquet match.

I really like having a porch — especially this time of year. When it gets a little colder, I'm sure you'll find us sitting out there, wrapped in blankets and sipping hot cocoa.

  1. Pretty! You are so lucky to have a front porch. Neither of our houses have had one but it's a dream of ours. Thus far we haven't really even had the kind of front yard that invites you spend time. Just rocks. And cactus (boo).

I would totally come play croquet. And I would lose graciously.

  2. nothing makes a person feel so excessively white as croquet-playing in the front yard.

  3. Ooh, pretty set. I have played one and only one full game of croquet in my life, and I won. I think I'm going to keep it that way so as to not break my winning streak. ;)

  4. Porches are a serious necessity. We're looking for houses right now, and porchless homestead is definitely a dealbreaker.

  5. I'm down for an intense game of croquet when we're back in Arizona for Christmas break. Challenge.

  6. I want some hot chocolate. This reminds me... I need chairs for my porch.

  9. Cute!! I like the idea, but our yard would be AWFUL for croquet. Hilly and full of mole holes! We don't have a front porch, but we do have a nice deck out back so I guess it's ok.

  10. I love it, it's really colourful and I think that makes it look fun to play with. I'd probably lose a game of croquet though, I don't think I've played.

  14. I LOVE croquet - especially vintage sets, which remind me of my dad. I wish I could come over and be challenged to a match, even if it is an excessively white thing to do :)

  15. i'm beginning to suspect clint has a complex about being white. and that croquet set reminds me of playing croquet in grangeville in the summers. do you remember that? in my memory, it's all magical.
