when everything around you's changing like the weather.

This time of year is always an adjustment for me as the amount of daylight diminishes. It might be weird how much I enjoy watching all the different shadows around our house, and how the light bounces off the walls through our windows.

The past few days couldn't have been better - complete with a long walk around our neighborhood in the rain, Vietnamese dinner plus crepes for dessert with friends, and bundling up in sweaters and blankets because our house is now 60 degrees (I'm not turning the heater on until Clint makes me).

  1. I love the way my house looks around 4 pm. The light pours in from the outside and brightens it up so much.

I love the color of your walls, too.

  11. I want that sofa and those pillows. I ADORE your decor style!

I love when the early morning light comes through the blinds and windows. I think it's the perfect setting for a photo of kids in pajamas because it just makes it feel like morning. Can't wait until you have a little one show photos of in pajamas and pretty lighting!

beautiful light. i've become a huge observer of light patterns lately. i think it's because come november here we're lacking it in almost entirely.

  18. Our house hasn't gone below 69*... see, this is where the "Anna's house is always hot" comes in handy. We don't use our heater, tell Clint buck up.

And my word verification is sperm.

  19. whitney-

the couch is the crate & barrel petrie sofa. i wanted it forever, then got sick of it, then found one on craigslist for a super great deal. we really like it.

yellow pillow is an old one from anthro. red pillow is from dwellstudio: right here, and it's even better in person.
