When it's clean, our bright kitchen makes me happy. It's not too big, but not too small either (unless of course it's my turn to prepare our huge family Sunday dinner and there's 25 people waiting for food). It has just the right amount of old quirks like open corner shelving, a funny built-in desk that could only fit a small child, and the original 1940s milk delivery door.
There's also one of those narrow closets with a pull-out wooden ironing board. On a whim I decided to drill a hole into the door and add a knob, so I could hang up a cute apron, oven mitt and potholder. You know how it goes around here... the more color the merrier.

Deleteenvious! what a lovely kitchen you have there. the style of the kitchen itself is great, but i loooove your personal touch to the place.
ReplyDeleteWow, you have such a pretty kitchen. I'd want to cook in that everyday.
ReplyDeleteI love old kitchens; especially the old white cupboards. Do you naturally live by simplicity? I like.
ReplyDeleteso much charm and details! is it a galley kitchen or more open? that was my one huge complaint in our house was the hallway of a kitchen. i hated it.

ReplyDeleteI love your blog. I bet you'll lose those 50 pounds you want to lose post baby easily...you're tiny. Good luck with the nursery. It's always the hardest room for me.
ReplyDeleteYour kitchen is so awesome! I love the old quirks! Our kitchen is not at all bright - a friend of ours said it reminds them of a cozy cabin so I guess I'm into that, although I really wanted a bright all-white kitchen. Oh well, you take what you can get!
ReplyDeleteHope you and baby are doing well!
