enough to carry on.

Forgive the awkward maternity pose. Someone told me I would love looking back on pregnancy photos (and that daughter will love them someday too) so I'm sticking with it even though I'd rather run from the camera these days.

Earlier this week, I had to get a 3D ultrasound. My blood pressure is high so they're keeping a close watch now to make sure baby is okay. The doctor warned me she might have to be delivered early, but we're really hoping that's not the case. Anyway, it was fun to get a glimpse of her little face and tummy and limbs. I think she looks like her dad, but she certainly appears to have my big cheeks. She has been moving around so much lately, and I get a kick out of pushing her little bum back in place. It's the craziest and coolest thing ever to feel her from the outside.

Today I'm feeling thankful for:

- thrifted old lady skirts with elastic waistbands and $1 silk shirts
- that I can still occasionally wear heels, even if just for 3 hours on Sunday
- a husband that rubs my feet at the end of every day

  1. Cutest pregnant girl ever, you're so close! You motivate me to take at least a couple maternity pictures, for the sake of my kids. I didn't with Ivy but I can't say I've felt much regret about it quite yet. ;)

  10. You look fantastic. But I know how you feel. At first the bump was good (better than just looking bloated). Now mine just feels ridiculously huge. I'm avoiding the camera too. Bring on 7 weeks!

Good luck on the high blood pressure, it took me by surprise: such a healthy pregnancy all along until my 38th ck up, I was rushed to the delivery room, had to give birth so that I could make it. As you may know, it's called pre-eclampsia. Best wishes to you... You look adorable with your belly!

Just found your blog, and it's fantastic. Congratulations on your baby, too, but please watch your blood pressure carefully. I had a baby 7 wks ago (at 32 wks) because my BP got so high so fast (270s/150s) that it almost killed me. Very scary. My doctor let it go to the point that I am left with serious damage. Deliver early if you have to - it will be better for you both!
