One of the many ways in which Clint and I are completely opposite: he pretty much never complains. In fact, the only thing he ever really whines about is being cold. His hands, feet and nose are almost always freezing. I'm not kidding when I say that lately he has been sleeping in pants, a shirt and two sweaters, socks, slippers, a beanie and gloves. Then wrapped up in a blanket or two. Ridiculous, right? It's not even cold here.
So I think he liked the handmade gift I gave him in celebration of our holiday, February 13th: a rice bag warmer, to heat up his hands and feet and keep him warm when I can't. (The "h" shield is something he draws on everything and calls his personal insignia or family crest.)
He has been especially wonderful, patient, and sweet the past few weeks. There's no way I could leave out an I love you, husband on a day like today.

ReplyDeletegiven my constitution, i will probably use it well into april or may.
ReplyDeleteoh please. i'm guessing july.
Deleteyou two are totally mfeo.
ReplyDeleteand that really bums me out that you'd probably never move to portland, because he'd freeze to death. darn.
What a cute gift. I need to make Bart one of these because he HATES being cold (and yes, we live somewhere warm warm warm).
ReplyDeleteThat gift if so perfect! Landon write "Lines" on everything he owns, in this very specific way and I love it. Husbands are funny.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great gift idea! I love handmade gifts! Also, I have to say I love all of the pops of yellow in your website design and your photos!
ReplyDeleteHow cute! I have wanted to make a warmer like this for a while and I think this may have been the nudge I needed :) Adorable, and so sweet and thoughtful!

ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day.

ReplyDeletei always wear a million & one layers to bed!
it turned out great! what a nice wife you are:)
ReplyDeleteI have perma frozen nose, toes and fingers too. We actually have one of those rice bag things..not sure why I haven't thought to take it out already. I'm a little slow.
ReplyDeleteI love the h!
I think it is so funny that he is cold all the time. I guess he is so tall and long limbed his body can't keep up with trying to keep itself warm- haha. It was good seeing you today, I love visiting with you. :)
ReplyDeleteI think that's such a great gift! and I love that you two celebrate your own day!
ReplyDeletebag warmers are the best! we actually have just a regular heat pad (the kind you plug in) but either way...those things are a lifesaver sometimes :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great gift. We use our bags almost every single day.
ReplyDeletewhat a grand idea! i am the one to have 100 layers on while my husband says it's hot. i think i need one too. my trick for him: tuck the bottom of your pj pants into your long socks. it's super sexy too. :)
ReplyDeleteLindsay
