ease your head.

You know you've spent too many days on end cooped up in the house when you start moving furniture and rearranging everything in sight — only to put it all back in place moments later.

I'm restless. I keep thinking of projects to complete, but then get distracted time and time again, bounce from one thing to the next, and suddenly the day is over and very little has been accomplished at all. Sometimes I'm okay with that, and sometimes I just feel kind of delirious. Today it's the latter...

  1. i love the bright simplicity of your home. you should consider doing a home tour :) i, too, have so many projects for the summer, the first being to simplify everything in our home. it's a long process but worth it in the end! happy weekend to you.

  3. I definitely know that feeling! I really love the decor in your house from what I've seen since I became a reader just recently. I really loved the photo from yesterday's post. Hope you feel re-energized soon!

  4. Nice Armas print! I just love her.

As for that restless feeling... it always helps for me to get outside. Though sometimes I just plain don't want to, given that it is often cold and dreary here in AK.

Another thought: perhaps you are having an "incubation" period for a bigger idea, and it just needs a little time to develop. ?

    Your house looks lovely.

  6. I rearrange everything only to put it all back all the time. hah! I lovelovelove the contrast between the pale walls and colorful furniture in your home...makes me want to paint everything a light color. and I'm definitely in the same boat as you feeling-wise this week...motivation is seriously lacking. maybe it's the before-summer blues? hope things start looking up for you soon.

  9. Hah! I can totally relate ;) I like the first photo...there's just something about a plain background with a bright pop of color that brings a photo to life.

  15. Agh, sorry you are having one of those days. I too have many days like this, and in fact today is one of them! It's 5.15pm here where I live and I feel as though I've accomplished nothing today - I can't stand it! I hope you get some things done that you want to do.
