we would gladly get our fill.

There's a big corn field down the street from our house. It's a surprising location, right in the middle of the city. The other day I convinced Clint to get out of bed early and walk over with us to buy some sweet corn. I'm so glad we did! I grilled it up for dinner that night and it was seriously like eating dessert. Yum.

They were also selling other local goods, so we brought home some apples, zucchini, tomatoes and even plums. I've said it once and I'll say it again: nothing beats fresh produce from a nearby farmers market.

I love that photo of Clint holding Margo. He is the best dad, just like I knew he would be. He will probably always be her favorite, but I'm okay with that. Happy Father's Day to him and both of our amazing dads!

  2. I love that picture of the two of them, too. And PS the fact that you are OK with his being her favorite shows what kind of mom you are (the kind I hope I'll be someday!)

  7. Is this the corn field on center and brown? If so, this is where we went every summer growing up to pick corn. It's the best little field!

  9. Tell Clint he looks very handsome (has he been working out?!) and Margo is a serious DOLL! I can't stand her cuteness, I have to make another right away! She actually looks a lot like Luthien did when she was a wee one I think!

  10. I have some corn rotting in my fridge. I bet it's not going to taste as good as yours did.

My kids favor Jason too - no worries. :)

  13. We also took in the local farm produce (potatoes as fries & strawberries... see here: http://awonderfullifeinfullframe.blogspot.ca/2012/06/at-farm.html (the corn was only about 1 foot or so high). You are so right... there is nothing better than produce that fresh! Beautiful Daddy image!
