it's a loud cry from the heart.

Little miss is over five months old, and the main reason for my lack of getting anything done. I keep thinking it's going to get easier with time... ha! Joke's on me, I guess. The past few weeks she has been teething and refusing to take naps longer than about thirty minutes. Honestly, some days it feels like a victory when I find the time just to eat lunch.

Other than that, she's a real delight. (Just ask her dad; she's usually on her best behavior for him every morning as he's leaving for work and when he comes home at night.) Funny how her smiles and silly faces instantly make me forget any frustration that comes from lack of sleep -- heaven knows I'm grateful for that.

    1. p.s. I had to come back for more Margo cuteness. But in all seriousness how does she have arms left. I'd nibble them right off. #weirdthingwomensayabouteatingtheirbabies #iknowyouhatelonghashtags #thisisnottwitter #ha

  8. It's easy, what are you talking about?

Maybe Margo needs to have a sleepover at my house so you can get some sleep. Don't worry about me, I'll put her in the guest room so I'll get sleep too because I won't hear a peep. :)

  9. Just a couple of years, then it will get better and you will get more time to... say... take a shower ;-)

She is adorable. What a beautiful little face. Enjoy this time, it's so special! And in those moments when the tiredness seems to be at its top? Just tell yourself, like a mantra: it's a phase, it's a phase, it's a phase. It helps, it did for me :D

  10. I think God makes them extra, extra cute as a survival mechanism. Levi and I are alive today in good part because of his two inch long eye lashes. :) You can tell that chubby, delicious Baby M is well cared for, she's lucky to have you as a Mommy.

  11. Have you tried the amber teething necklace? It has worked wonders for my daughter!

And gosh, you dress Margo impeccably : )

  12. one of the immutable laws of nature is that when you are as cute as margo is, you pretty much get to do whatever you want.

  14. margo appears to have dethroned you as the queen of your castle. i think your busiest days are still ahead, CRAWLING! WALKING! RUNNING! but i always started to feel more like myself around the sixth month mark. maybe that had something to do with babies sleeping through the night. joke's on all of us, but it's a great inside joke.

  17. I'm such a bad commenter lately, but I still love your photos, that darling baby of yours, and you of course. :)

And I hear you on the busy mom life. If I'm not feeding, bathing, or putting my kids to sleep I am playing soccer/baseball/tennis/basketball with Oliver or holding Hudson. Such a busy life, but such a great one!

That birthday party below is amazing. A Youtube film festival is genius!

I found a cross stitch ABC board today at a consignment sale. My dream of finding one myself has come true! (remember how obsessed I was with yours?:)

  21. she really is so beautiful angela. her personality reminds me so much of bentley's at this age. oh the lessons i learned from the first time around!! so when sophie wakes up mid-nap-I go in and put her passy in and lay her right back down. sometimes she cries and doesnt go back to sleep-other times she whines for two seconds and goes back to bed. good luck, this stage is not so fun its a good thing they are cute!!!

  22. You have the sweetest posts. It does get easier. Especially when she starts playing with toys more and crawling around, she'll be able to entertain herself for short periods of times so you can get things done. Or just having another baby and they can be playmates. ;)
